Product Reviews
Rather than just focus on tankless toilets for your home, we tried to think outside the box and imagine other locations where a tankless toilet would come in handy. So, we have included domestic, marine and even camping options to bring you our best 7 tankless toilets.
Thetford Porta Potti Qube Camping Toilet
Best Tankless Camping Toilet
Why should the advantages of a tankless toilet be exclusively for inside your home? With this portable toilet by Thetford, you can take some comforts to the campsite.
Okay, we’ll admit that while it doesn’t have a tank in the traditional sense, it has a small flushing reservoir, but because it is all self-contained, we felt it justified its place. So what has it got?
It has a 15-liter flush tank, a water-level indicator so you can judge when the tank is full, and a pouring spout to help you empty the contents. It has a lever pull at the front that opens the sealed flap to the waste tank, which holds 12 liters.
On the downside, considering this toilet is made from plastic, it is not a cheap option. We chose it because it is the best portable camping toilet, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t alternatives out there that deserve your attention.
What We Like
Portable
Having the ability to take this toilet with you on the go means you have some basic creature comforts to make your camping experience more manageable.
12-Liter Waste Tank
The tank holds a reasonable amount of waste material. It is sealed, so there are no bad odors, and when you empty it, it has a pouring spout to make life easier.
Water-Level Indicator
Knowing when the waste tank is full is crucial if you want to avoid spills and getting caught short. The water-level indicator tells you when you need to empty the tank.
What We Don't Like
Very Expensive
Essentially, this is a plastic travel toilet, so why is it so much more expensive than the competition? It is the best, but you have to question the price tag.

Dometic 320 Series RV Toilet
Best Tankless Toilet for RV
Much like camping, when you are out on the open road, having all the essential services inside your RV means you can live comfortably. This Dometic 320 Series is the best of the bunch and looks and feels like your toilet at home.
It is constructed from vitreous china, so it is robust, and it comes complete with the toilet seat. The bowl is elongated in shape, and the seat height measures 19.75 inches, so it more than complies with the ADA standards.
It has a spill-free rim for when you are on the road and a foot pedal that, when partially pressed, fills the toilet with water, and when fully depressed, it flushes. Because this toilet is made from ceramics, it weighs more than standard plastic models.
What We Like
Vitreous China
It’s rare to find an RV toilet that looks and feels like the toilet in your home. This one is made from ceramics, so everything about it feels like your standard toilet.
ADA Compliant
This RV toilet enables everyone, including elderly relatives and those less able, to use it without assistance.
Pedal Flush
Press the pedal lightly, and the toilet fills with water, and then press down hard, and it flushes. It makes the flushing process even easier.
What We Don't Like
Weighs 36 Pounds
Normally travel toilets are light, space-saving, and compact, and while this model hits two of those key criteria, it is heavy, weighing 36 pounds. When you compare that to the Thetford, it’s almost 30 pounds heavier.

Woodbridge Smart Bidet Seat Toilet
Best Tankless Toilet With Bidet
Having a tankless toilet with a bidet function is the ultimate in luxury. This Woodbridge has a self-activating seat, so when you stand after going to the toilet, it flushes automatically; plus, as you approach it, the lid lifts to greet you.
You get feminine and posterior hygiene, a carbon air filter that removes any lingering odors, and remote control so you can choose the correct settings. It even heats the seat and dries your backside.
It has an LED for nighttime visits when you don’t want to switch the light on, and the powerful yet quiet siphonic dual flush lets you choose between 1.6 and 1.0 gallons per flush.
If you want to own this toilet, you will need to start saving now because it costs over $1,000, so it won’t suit anyone looking for a budget option. It also weighs 114.8 pounds, so if you install this toilet on your own, you will struggle to lift it.
What We Like
Bidet Feature
Few things that match the hygiene levels of a bidet. You get a feminine wash, a posterior wash, and then it dries you, so no wiping is needed at all.
Heated Seat
What is more luxurious than a heated toilet seat? In the dead of winter, when the temperature plummets, your bottom will be toasty and warm.
Automatic Flush
As you approach the toilet, it lifts the seat, and as you stand, it flushes. You get 100 percent hands-free operation. What could be more hygienic than that?
What We Don't Like
Super-Expensive
While we recognize that you are getting a lot of product for your bucks, you still need to bear in mind the high costs of this toilet. This is definitely not a budget option.
Weighs 114.8 Pounds
With all those features and functions, is it any wonder this toilet weighs 114.8 pounds, which is over 3 times the weight of the Dometic model.

Saniflo 023 Sanicompact Self-Contained Toilet
Best Tankless Toilet for Basements
This Saniflo toilet is the ideal model if you plan on converting your basement to a usable room. Unlike gravity-fed toilets that rely on dropping your waste matter into the sewer from above, this system pumps the waste vertically up to 9 feet high.
It also allows you to connect the toilet to a sink to tap into the water supply, and it also uses just 1.5 gallons per flush. You can place this toilet almost anywhere because it pushes the waste along 120 feet of pipework to the soil stack.
The seat height measures 18.5 inches, which conforms to the ADA specifications, making it more comfortable for the less mobile. It is also a great choice when space is a premium.
However, the cost of this toilet is considerably higher than other comparable models. It almost gives the Woodbridge Bidet a run for its money. Plus, macerating toilets are notorious for malfunctioning and becoming blocked.
What We Like
Macerating Function
The macerator enables the toilet to break down the solid matter and pump it vertically to a height of 9 feet, making it the ideal product for basement conversions.
Low Water Use
If you want your next toilet to be frugal with water use, this model ticks that box. It only uses 1.5 gallons per flush.
ADA Compliant
When you have an elderly relative, a comfort height toilet seat helps them regain some independence. It makes getting on and off the toilet a lot easier.
What We Don't Like
Very Pricey
Saniflo toilets are not a budget option. They cost several times the price of similar models and almost as much as the Woodbridge bidet toilet.
Blocks Easily
Macerating toilets are well-known for their temperamentality. Too much toilet paper and they block. Too much solid matter and they block.

Toto Washlet With Integrated Toilet
Best Tankless Toilet for Small Bathrooms
If you have limited space like an en-suite, this Toto Washlet is a great choice, especially when you consider it has a bidet function as well. It also has a tornado flush, which removes the most stubborn waste material.
You get a Cefiontect coating that keeps the inside of the toilet bowl cleaner for longer, and you also get an automatic seat opener. Like the Woodbridge bidet option, you get a heated seat, a warm air dryer, and a deodorizer.
This is a universal height toilet, so it complies with the ADA specifications, and because it uses just 1.28 gallons of water per flush, it also complies with the WaterSense program.
However, we need to talk about the price. This model is double the cost of the Woodbridge, and we thought that one was expensive.
What We Like
Auto-Open and Close Seat
The seat opens and closes automatically, making it 100 percent hands-free. This is great for hygiene, and it also helps the little ones go to the toilet.
WaterSense Certified
Thanks to the low water use, this toilet has won accreditation from the Environment Protection Agency’s WaterSense program.
Cefiontect Coating
Cefiontect is an advanced toilet glaze that keeps the surface of the bowl slippery, which helps to flush solids away and reduces instances of adherence.
What We Don't Like
Very Overpriced
At almost double the price of the Woodbridge bidet toilet, this model is seriously overpriced compared to similar models.
Weights Over 100 Pounds
This Toto comes in at just over 100 pounds, making it the second heaviest to feature in the review.

Jabsco Twist ‘n’ Lock Manual Marine Toilet
Best Tankless Marine Toilet
Okay, so we’ve covered your RV and your tent, but what about your boat? This Jabsco is the perfect marine toilet. It’s made from vitreous china and has corrosion-resistant parts to handle the harsh marine environment.
It comes in 4 varieties ranging from the compact bowl model to the one with a regular bowl and soft close seat. This is a twist and lock toilet, meaning that you have to pump the handle and then twist it 90 degrees, and the water flushes the waste away.
It can be fitted so the waste flushes overboard or to a holding tank, and it is reversible, so the pump can be mounted on either side. Another thing to love about this toilet is the price. It costs a fraction of the others featured.
Thanks to the corrosion-resistant materials, it can use salt and freshwater, plus the pump is so powerful, you can install it below the waterline.
The main disadvantage with this toilet is it is only suitable for boats, and because it is manually operated, you need to use a bit of elbow grease to get it to work.
What We Like
Powerful Pump
To operate this pump, you need to plunge the handle 3 or 4 times, and then when you feel it has pressurized, twist the handle 90 degrees, and the waste disappears.
Excellent Price
The fact that you can pick up one of these toilets for a fraction of the price of other models is a real bonus. Okay, so you would only ever use it in a boat, but it is still cheap.
Corrosion Resistance
All the materials are resistant to rust, which means you can use fresh or saltwater when flushing.
What We Don't Like
Only for Boats
If you don’t have a boat, this is not the toilet for you. It flushes directly overboard or into a holding tank.

Swiss Madison Well Made Forever Ivy SM-WT450 Wall Hung Toilet
Best Wall-Hung Tankless Toilet
We had to feature a wall-hung toilet. It’s a classic tankless style. This Swiss Madison is ultra-sleek, with cool lines and modern styling.
Plus, if you are looking for a toilet that uses the smallest amount of water, this model has a dual-flush facility, so it uses 0.8 gallons on the light setting and 1.28 gallons on the heavy flush. It is space-saving, has a soft-close seat with quick-release hinges, and is competitively priced.
It is a one-piece toilet constructed from porcelain, which is easy to clean and extremely robust. All the bolts and screws are supplied so you can mount this toilet. The only downside is you have to buy the tank separately, and fitting it is a challenge if you have limited building and plumbing skills.
However, because this is a wall-mounted toilet, you can choose the height you want the seat, so you could go for a standard seat height or please the elderly relatives and fit it at comfort height.
What We Like
Modern Styling
Few toilets look as good as this one. It has sleek styling with bold lines and curves, so if you have a modern bathroom, this will fit right in.
Excellent Price
When you look at this toilet, it feels and looks like it should be more expensive. We get that you have to buy the tank separately, but it is still a great price.
Bolts and Screws Provided
You get all the fixing you need to mount this on your wall. Plus, you can fix it to the wall at the height you want.
What We Don't Like
The Tank Is Separate
Once you purchase the toilet, you have to factor in the cost of the concealed water tank. So, while the purchase price is reasonable, the tank will cost you extra.
Difficult To Install
Fitting this toilet is a challenge if you have limited building and plumbing skills. You have to build a false wall to conceal the tank and then plumb it in.
